The Australian central bank has conceded that its exit from the pandemic stimulus programme was disorderly, according to Reuters.

In a statement, the apex bank said that even though its pandemic stimulus programme, aimed at keeping short-term bond yields low, was successful, its exit was disorderly and caused reputational damage. The bank made the comment following a review. It also said that it is unlikely to use any yield target again and would prefer to just purchase bonds.
