Balchem Closes Acquisition of Belgian Specialty Gases Firm Chemogas.

29 May 2019 - New York, US-based nutrition, specialty products and industrial products company Balchem Corp. (NASDAQ: BCPC) has completed its acquisition of Belgian specialty gases company Chemogas, NV, the company said.

The signing of a definitive agreement to acquire Chemogas, NV was previously announced on May 2, 2019.

With this acquisition, Balchem significantly expands its geographic presence in the packaged ethylene oxide market, enabling the company to offer worldwide service and support to its medical device sterilisation customers.

The Chemogas sites in Europe and Asia will form a global network of facilities when combined with Balchem's sites in the United States, making Balchem the clear leader in the critical supply of ethylene oxide to the medical device sterilisation industry.
