Coming into force 1st April 1996
The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 19771and section 5(1) of, and paragraph 29(1) of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service and Community Care Act 19902and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, considering it appropriate in the interests of the health service to make this Order3, and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter Act4, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Birmingham Heartlands Hospital National Health Service Trust Dissolution Order 1996 and shall come into force on 1st April 1996.
Dissolution of NHS trust
2. The Birmingham Heartlands Hospital National Health Service Trust established by the East Birmingham Hospital National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 19915is hereby dissolved, and accordingly that Order, the East Birmingham Hospital National Health Service Trust (Change of Name) Order 19936and the East Birmingham Hospital National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 19947are hereby revoked.
