they all make use of the accumulated theory and research on organiza-
tional behaviour. Third, they all are little books that are short on scholar-
ship and long on the
orgy
of avuncular pontification. Finally, although
they are all about organizations, they all suffer from mal-organization
!
They all lack a conceptual framework that binds their materials together
in
a
systematic fashion.
All in all, these three volumes add something to the organization theory
literature as far as they go. Unfortunately, they do not
go
far enough. The
informed reader would spend his time better in catching up with periodi-
cal literature. M.
