Cillian Murphy, 47, and Robert Downey Jr, 58, were recognised for their performances with the Leading and Supporting Actor accolades.

Emma Stone, 35, bagged Best Actress In A Leading Role for Poor Things, while Supporting Actress went to The Holdovers star Da'Vine Joy Randolph, 37.

Host Jimmy Kimmel, 56, joked the cast and crew were "getting Oppenhammered at the bar" following its wins.

Poor Things landed four prizes while UK film The Zone Of Interest scored two.

Irish star Murphy, who played theoretical physicist J Robert Oppenheimer, said he was "overwhelmed".

Ryan Gosling, 43, stole the show as he was joined by Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, 58, for Barbie song I'm Just Ken.
