Sebastian was 15 when he died after being found with serious injuries at his home in Leeds Road, Huddersfield, on August 13 last year

Following his death, his mother, Agniezska Kalinowska, and her long-term partner, Andrezej Latoszewski were charged with his murder.

They are currently standing trial at Leeds Crown Court accused of murder, manslaughter, neglect and causing or allowing the death of a child.

Last week, Latoszewski pleaded guilty to manslaughter, and both he and Kalinowska then pleaded guilty to cruelty to a child under the age of 16. The trial is now in its second week.

Yesterday, prosecutors continued to take the jurors through a timeline created by an analyst, made up of records from mobile phone data and footage from a CCTV system set up in Sebastian's home.

Jurors were taken through footage from July 6, up until July 30, including Sebastian's birthday on July 16.

Prosecuting, Thomas Storey said that on July 10, the timeline said

Sebastian woke up at 6.36am and in a number of individual clips at 9.58am, Latoszewski "grabs him by the neck, hitting him to the back of the head and repeatedly strikes him to the back of the head and knees him in his buttocks."

The description in the timeline said Sebastian was holding his chest throughout. In the clip, his mother is present and can be seen smiling at her partner before the attack.

In footage taken on July 12, Mr Storey said the timeline described another attack as: "Between 15.32 and 15.35, AL [Latoszewski] punches SK [Sebastian] in the stomach, slaps him across the face and knees him to the buttocks, which repeatedly knocks SK off balance, with no provocation from SK. Immediately after the assault SK can be seen in the living room holding ice packs to his face until 16.16."

In the footage seen by jurors, Latoszewski is shirtless and is hitting Sebastian - who is wearing a blue T-shirt and red shorts - as he holds his chest with his arm.

Footage from Sebastian's birthday, July 16, was also shown to the jury.

In it, Latoszewski can be seen "lunging" at Sebastian, causing him to duck his head, before he is presented with a cake and his mother takes photos.

In the footage, Sebastian can be seen smiling with the cake. Two days later, the court heard that Sebastian got up, got ready, and sat on the end of his bed reading before working in the garden on his hands and knees. Later that day, the CCTV system caught his mother hitting him over the head and pointing her finger at him.
