And the Jambos boss promised his stars are hungry to avenge their last Hampden meeting as they eye Scottish Cup glory in May

The Jambos edged past Morton 1-0 at Cappielow last night thanks to Kenneth Vargas' 86th-minute goal to secure another semi against Philippe Clement's side.

Hearts have lost all four meetings with Rangers so far this season, including a 3-1 defeat in the last four of the League Cup and a 5-0 Premiership trouncing at Ibrox last month.

Holders Celtic will tackle Aberdeen in the other last-four tie.

But Naismith - who hailed veteran keeper Craig Gordon for his impressive display to shut out Ton - insists his players believe they can go all the way.

He said: "We have worked hard to get through the rounds to these latter stages.

"We have had a good bit of progression from the last semi-final and we want to progress again to give ourselves that chance to win it.

"You've got to have that demand and hunger to win trophies. We are building that. Hopefully we can have a good day.
