BTIG has said that it has appointed Mark Massaro within the firm's Healthcare Research team as a managing director and Life Science and Diagnostic Tools analyst.

In his new role, Massaro will be based in BTIG's Boston office and will report to David Lenchus, director of Research, at BTIG.

Massaro has most recently served as the chief financial officer at ArcherDX Inc., an oncology diagnostics and pharmaceutical services company. He has previously been a managing director and senior equity research analyst within Diagnostics and Life Science Tools at Canaccord Genuity, where he spent more than eight years focused on high-growth, precision medicine and next-generation sequencing companies, as well as molecular and point-of-care diagnostics, reference labs and animal health.
