Daniel Walsh, 30, killed Graham Snell, 71, after he caught him stealing from his bank account.

Walsh then dismembered the victim and stuffed most of his remains down a badger sett.

Other body parts were dumped in communal bins and woodland.

Walsh denied murder but was found guilty after a three-week trial at Derby Crown Court. Yesterday he refused to leave his cell to be sentenced and was jailed for life, with a minimum 27-year term, in his absence.
