Casella Waste Systems Acquires 2 Waste/Recycling Businesses in New York.

18 October 2018 - Vermont, US-based waste and recycling management company Casella Waste Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CWST) has acquired the assets of New York, US-based recycling and sanitation companies WeCare Waste and Recycling, LLC and Valley Sanitation, the company said

Both transactions closed on October 1, 2018.

Terms were not disclosed.

WeCare is a provider of residential, commercial and roll-off collection services. Valley is a provider of residential and commercial collection services. In total, the company expects to generate approximately USD 5.0m of annualised revenues from the WeCare and Valley acquisitions.

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. said as part of its 2021 strategic plan, the company set a goal of USD 20m to USD 40m per year of acquisition or development activity. Including the acquisition of WeCare and Valley, the company has acquired roughly USD 55m of annualised revenues during 2018.
