Who says accountants are dull? A new website has revealed a previously unknown sport that could appeal to thrill-seeking CIMA members: extreme accounting. According to its home page, the activity pushes financial managers to their limits and beyond--just in case they aren't under enough pressure already.

The sport was allegedly invented by Arnold Chiswick, an ACMA who came up with the idea during a sponsored skydive. Apparently, he remembered in mid-flight that his tax return was due and took out his calculator to solve a rebate problem on the way down. The site claims that the combination of accounting and dangerous activities took off soon afterwards.
