Colliers' boss 'privileged' to have led hometown team

After five years in charge at Woodhorn Lane, Skinner will step back from life on the touchline when a historic campaign comes to a close later this month

Before his departure, the Colliers still have six fixtures to prepare for, starting with tomorrow's visit to Carlton Town.

As he prepares for the final month of a progressive reign, Skinner reflected on the progress the club has made in recent years and thanked a number of key figures at the club.

He told the club website: "It has been my privilege to manage my hometown club over the past five years and to witness the progress we have made both on and off the field.

"When I first returned to the club it was a period of struggle but with hard work we built a team that would go on to challenge for silverware and achieve promotion. I want to thank everyone who has helped me as part of that journey, the playing and coaching staff, volunteers and supporters, your dedication to this club has meant the world to me."
