At p.212 under the heading "Community and the Police", the second
sentence and thereafter should read:
Although the Pollok Free State and the M77 environmental protest may
be coming to the end of its life-span, it has been instrumental in bringing
into focus the rights of the individual and the community within the
context of radical environmentalism and local democracy." The anti-
roads protest is an example of the actions that particular members of the
community will take when they feel aggrieved that "the official process
is seen to have failed" .16 One of the leading protest leaders [etc.]
