Cheshire West and Chester Council announced that the coffee chain will open a 1,800 sq ft unit, including a drive thru and outside seating, in a prominent spot at the corner of Dene Drive and the A54

Susan Agnew, acquisition manager for Costa said: "Costa are delighted to be part of this redevelopment and the upgrading of Winsford town centre."

The announcement follows the news that B&M would be opening a flagship store as part of the redevelopment. The retailer would occupy a 26,000sq ft retail unit and an 8,800sq ft garden centre where Fountains Court is.

The confirmation from the two brands came about three months after the £21.7million project to revamp Winsford town centre was given the green light.

Work is expected to start on site later this year...
