California, US-based gunshot detection solutions company ShotSpotter, Inc. (NASDAQ: SSTI) has acquired technology and related assets of HunchLab from Philadelphia, US-based Azavea to expand into AI-driven analysis and predictive policing, the company said.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The company used existing cash on hand to fund the acquisition and it is not expected to be material to ShotSpotter's full year 2018 results. SpotShotter said HunchLab technology provides a proven, high-value, and complementary solution to law enforcement customers.
