FIX AND CHAT Tuesdays 2-4pm in Aberfoyle Memorial Hall - if you have small household items which are broken hopefully the collective skill of the group can help repair or give advice to avoid throwing it into landfill. KNIT AND NATTER Fridays 2-4pm in Aberfoyle Memorial Hall - get out and about, kids welcome to pop in with parents after school, cuppa and snacks available.

BOWLING CLUB Sunday was a really busy day at the bowling green on Trossachs Road. Our Try Bowls day was well attended, the weather was fine and those attending seemed to have had a good time. Many thanks to all club members for helping out and to Bowls Scotland who sent along James Lindsay, a Try Bowls Activator, who provided much entertainment with his innovative bowling games. We hope to see many of the visitors come along to regular club events on Mondays at 6.30pm and Tuesdays at 1.30pm. The Forth and Endrick league has started and Aberfoyle won both its first matches against Balfron. Onwards to Kippen, this Friday.

BALFRON CONCERT The John McLintock Hall in Balfron will be 100 years old in June 2023.To mark the centenary, the keynote event will be the Centenary Concert in the hall at 7.30pm on Friday June 16, starring Scottish/ Scandinavian folk duo 'The Quiggs'. Tickets now available and, although the main source will be online, a limited number of 'physical' hard-copy tickets on sale at just £5 each at both Balfron Library and Balfron Health Centre from Monday, May 29, during their normal opening hours. Unfortunately, card facilities not available at either of these venues. Tickets also available tomorrow (Saturday) at The Drymen Show. Online tickets can be purchased at www.eventbrite.co.uk simply by searching 'Quiggs' on the site. Further advice and news of centenary souvenirs available by contacting mclintockhall@gmail.com or following www.facebook.com.mclintockhall.The evening of the concert will also give an opportunity for concert-goers to view an exhibition about John McLintock and the history of the hall with complementary refreshments available.

DANCERCISE Low-impact exercises and dance routines, perfect for active seniors/ beginners in the McLintock Hall on Mondays at 10am.
