BOWLING CLUB On Sunday members will participate in Kippen's Triple Competition. The club continues to meet on Mondays at 6.30pm and Tuesdays at 1.30pm until end of September. It's not too late to come along and try bowls.

FIX AND CHAT Tuesdays 2-4pm in Aberfoyle Memorial Hall - if you have small household items which are broken hopefully the collective skill of the group can help repair or give advice to avoid throwing it into landfill. KNIT AND NATTER Fridays 2-4pm in Aberfoyle Memorial Hall - get out and about, kids welcome to pop in with parents after school, cuppa and snacks available.

BALFRON DANCERCISE

Low-impact exercises and dance routines, perfect for active seniors/ beginners in the McLintock Hall on Mondays at 10am. COUNTRY DANCING

Strathendrick Scottish Country Dancing Club meets Tuesday evenings in Masonic Hall, Dunmore Street, Balfron 7.30-9.30pm. New members welcome, some experience preferred. Details from Alan 01360 550256.

STRATHENDRICK FILM SOCIETY Please join us on Friday September 8 at 7.30pm in the theatre of Balfron High School where we are showing our first film of the new season - Tom Cruise as Top Gun Maverick (12). A high-octane spectacle and the perfect adrenaline rush that can only be appreciated on the big screen. BALFRON CHURCH Service on Sunday at usual time of 11.15am in Balfron Church, taken by the Rev Dr Lesley Stanley. Tea/coffee served after service. Any member of the congregation needing urgent pastoral care during the vacancy should contact Rev Alison Britchfield on 07415 683871. COUNCILLOR Councillor Gerry McGarvey (Ward 2 - Gargunnock, Kippen, Arnprior, Buchlyvie, Fintry, Balfron, Drymen, Killearn, Croftamie, Milton of Buchanan, Blanefield, Strathblane, Balmaha and more) is available for telephone, inperson face-to-face, or online surgeries.

BOWLING CLUB During the outdoor season the club holds a weekly cafe on Tuesdays from 2-4pm which is open to all in Balfron and the surrounding area. You can have tea/ coffee and cake. If you wish you can bring craft work, play card games or borrow a book from our small library. During the afternoon the gents take the opportunity to enjoy a casual bowls game finishing offat the cafe. The ladies stick to having tea and chat, leaving their bowling for

The Blethers are having their summer holidays. Next get together will be on Monday September 25 from noon-2pm at Blair Drummond Community Hall for soup and sandwiches lunch and a good chat. We look forward to seeing everyone and welcoming new local members. BUCHLYVIE CHURCH

Morning service on Sunday, September 3, at 11.15am taken by Rev Scott Brown and includes a baptism. Sunday September 10 will be Rev Scott Brown's final service with us before his retiral. Holy Communion will be celebrated at 10.30am in Buchlyvie.
