Durham kick off with traditional university fixture

Following Durham's successful pre-season tour to Zimbabwe, the team will get back to match action for the first time since their three weeks in Harare

The annual fixture against Durham University will see Ben McKinney captain a side made up of senior and youth players.

Luke Robinson., Daniel Hogg and aydon Mustard are four of the youngsters who are in line to feature, while senior players a u l o u g h l in , olin Ackermann and Matthew Potts are in the 13.

Brandon Glover remains out with a shoulder injury and continues his rehabilitation after recently having shoulder surgery.

Durham head coach Ryan Campbell said: "The weather has been pretty disastrous over the last few weeks, since we've returned from Zimbabwe it has been tough to head back inside, but that is the way things are.

"The ground staff have done a great job, under the covers, it looks quite hard, the bowlers have been out and had a bowl through and the wicket for this week looks in pretty good stead.
