Editorial
This is my last issue of JSIT as an editor. I set up the journal in 1997, and, for
10 years, I published it through Edith Cowan University. For the past 10 years, it has
been published by Emerald. In addition, 20 years is a long time to be an editor, and I have
had great satisfaction seeing the journal go from strength to strength as an international
journal.
I want to thank the wonderful editorial review board for all the work they have done
for the journal over the years. When JSIT started back in 1997, I asked academics I
respected to get involved, and it is pleasing to see how their careers have developed. The
people at Emerald have been great to work with, and I want to thank them for their
support over the past 10 years.
JSIT has published many leading edge papers. There have been many Special Issues
that have added to its reputation. The growing downloads and citations are validation
that JSIT has a place in the academic publishing world. The papers are
truly international in origin.
It is a good time to hand over the Journal to the new editors. I am sure, with their
guidance, that JSIT will continue to make progress.
