Alastair McHugh spoke out after his younger brother, 49-year-old Simon, died at the scene on the

M606 on Monday night as he returned to his Lindley home in a taxi following his shift at Jurys Inn, Bradford, where he worked as head chef.

Taxi driver Sohail Ali, 28, also died at the scene and an as-yet unnamed 18-year-old man died in hospital yesterday morning.

It's understood the stolen van being driven by a 15-year-old boy had failed to stop for the police before it drove the wrong way along the M606 near Bradford and crashed into the taxi at 10.45pm on Monday.

The case was referred to the

Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as a police car was in the vicinity of the crash.

The 15-year-old driver has now been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
