Ireland's next assignment will be a two-Test tour against the world champions in Pretoria and Durban in July

The Players will return to their provinces after their championship-winning celebrations and a short break this week.

When the club season is over, they will reunite to try to achieve what no Ireland team has done before.

"Yeah, it doesn't get any more difficult or any more exciting than that," said Farrell (left).

"All you want is an opportunity to put yourself out there against the best and South Africa are 100 per cent the best."

The Ireland head coach may have to select a new captain for the tour as Peter O'Mahony, having lifted the Six Nations trophy, is to take time out to consider his international future in the wake of his fifth championship title triumph.
