The US Federal Reserve has opined that commercial banks in the US can contain a severe downturn rather well, according to Reuters.
The comments from the central bank came after some of the largest US banks easily cleared its annual stress tests. Meanwhile, analysts have expressed fears that chances of the US falling into a recession are high. Results of the recent stress test show that banks have enough capital to cope with a severe economic downturn.
