She's married into a rich family, and she thinks she can lord it over me and belittle me at every turn.

My parents are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary in September. Mum has booked a house in Devon and expects everyone to turn up for a weekend party.

But the thought of being with my know-it-all sister for 48 hours is making me anxious.

As a teenager she stole my clothes and shagged my boyfriends - even if she didn't fancy them. I got engaged in 2015 and she got off with my fiancé at the party. I found them bonking in the back room of the church hall.

What did my sister do? Laugh like a drain and call me a loser.

The engagement ended that night. It was all a big joke to her.

Now I'm living a few miles from her, and our parents expect us to hang out and be friends.

But why should I forgive her when she's been nothing but vile towards me?

The problem is that our mum and dad have a blind spot as far as she's concerned. She's the child they thought they'd never have and is their favourite.

Me? I'm the spare? I've tried to be the bigger, more mature, person. I've always turned the other cheek when she's put me down and insulted me.

I don't know if it's done me any good. Have I been a mug for always rolling over?

Do our parents finally need to hear what a tricky, evil madam she really is?
