'Greedy' Gartcairn boss wants full points from final five as he bids to climb table

While Dunlop will take it game by game, he also wants full points.

He said: “We’re taking it one game at a time but we want to try and win every one of them.

“This is the club’s first season in this league, so the first goal was ultimately consolidation and to go and build on that.

“I’m obviously greedy, as most managers are. I’m not content with that, I want us to finish as high as we possibly can.

“We have 15 points to play for and every single game is hard, you need to be right at it, but I hope by next week we’ll have a few guys back from injury and that will help us.

“We have a squad of 19 and in the last month or so we’ve had four or five guys out injured, and that hasn’t helped us.

“Let’s win as many as we can and see where it takes us, because that gives us confidence and momentum, going into next season.”

Gartcairn start that sequence at home to fifth-placed Pollok, who beat them 3-2 at Newlandsfield on Saturday, and Dunlop hopes for better fortunes.

“Ultimately it’s a great chance to try and get three points, especially when it’s a team you’ve just played the week before,” he said.
