Hipgnosis Songs Fund Acquires Music Catalog of Song Writer/Record Producer Jamie Scott.

29 May 2019 - Guernsey-registered investment company Hipgnosis Songs Fund Ltd. has acquired a music catalogue from British song writer and record producer Jamie Scott, the company said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Hipgnosis has acquired 100% of Jamie Scott's interest including all BMI and PRS income in his catalogue, which comprises 144 songs.

Merck Mercuriadis, founder of The Family (Music) Ltd. and Hipgnosis Songs Fund Ltd., said Jamie Scott has been the UK's most consistent hitmaker of the last 10 years.

Hipgnosis, which was founded by Merck Mercuriadis, is established to offer investors a pure-play exposure to songs and associated musical intellectual property rights.

The Family (Music) Ltd. is the company's Investment Adviser, founded by Merck Mercuriadis, former manager of globally successful recording artists, such as Elton John, Guns N' Roses, Morrissey, Iron Maiden and BeyoncA(c), and hit songwriters such as Diane Warren, Justin Tranter and The-Dream, and former CEO of The Sanctuary Group plc.
