Speaking about the price of the property Jacqui said: "For me seems a little bit low for this area," before later spotting the problem. The location of the maisonette was great as it was close to local shops, parks, and other amenities, although it wasn't quite within walking distance of a train or London Underground line

The property had a private entrance and also came with a front garden that needed a little tidy up, and a garage. "This is looking very promising," Jacqui added before having a tour inside of the property.

While the deco was very outdated, Jacqui explained that more space could be created by knocking out an old water tank cupboard to extend the kitchen which was already fully functional. The property did need some cosmetic work, but there was another problem.

"Now, one thing to be aware of is this place comes with a short lease, which might explain that relatively low guide price", Jacqui said. "In fact, there are only 43 years reaming on that lease."

She added: "But the good news is a Section 42 notice has already been served, and that's really good because it means that you won't have to wait the usual two years when requesting to extend the lease. That's...
