Homes will stay the same for a change

The series has had the same format for more than 20 years and viewers love it

So while many shows get regular revamps in a bid to attract younger viewers, it will be staying as it is.

Martin told the Daily Star Sunday: "The producers constantly review the format and they keep coming back to what we've been doing for 20 years, which is still really popular.

"It's a case of thinking, 'Why fix it if it ain't broke?'" Millions of fans have made it clear they don't want it to change.

Martin added: "There have been some tweaks over the years. But whenever anything is different, people go mad. So it's about doing little things, but keeping a format that works."

Homes Under The Hammer follows buyers as they bid for properties at auction. Once they buy one, it charts their progress as they give it a makeover to boost its value and often sell it for a profit.

The former I'm A Celebrity contestant thinks the simple format is a winner because it's both entertaining and informative.

The presenter said: "People can relate to the people they see on the show. The things people do are achievable.

"Also, it's about the property market and everyone loves that."...
