I loathe life in a village

I'm a city girl and there's nothing to do here. The locals have never accepted us.

I long to move back to my family and old mates - who I'm still in touch with and keep me sane.

My husband and I now need to downsize as our kids have left home and we no longer need so much space. Yet my husband is insisting on sticking around here.

There's a small flat for sale near the house I grew up in, which we could afford, but he won't countenance "going backwards".

I dread growing old out here when I could be around people who genuinely love me.
