Subaru has unveiled an all-new Outback, a rugged machine that's part estate car, part SUV. Launched in 1995 and now in its sixth generation, it's one of those cars with a small but very loyal following - most likely farmers or horsey types.

All models are four-wheel drive and powered by Subaru's 2.5-litre flat-four petrol engine, which in this downsizing and electrification world, looks rather old-fashioned. It tows up to 750kg unbraked and 2,000kg braked. Prices from £33,995.
