Johnson Matthey Acquires Assets of Oxis Energy to Accelerate Green Hydrogen Scale-Up.

UK-based speciality chemicals and sustainable technologies company Johnson Matthey has acquired the assets and intellectual property of UK-based battery manufacturer Oxis Energy Ltd., to accelerate green hydrogen scale-up, the company said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Oxis Energy was a lithium-sulfur battery developer with assets which can be adapted for the manufacture of components for green hydrogen production. The company entered administration on 19 May 2021.
