MICK KENNEDY insists the job is only half done after East Kilbride clinched the title for the third time

Kennedy praised everyone connected with the club as they collected the silver after a 1-0 win over Berwick.

They now await the winners of the Highland League to take part in the pyramid play-offs with the winners taking on the bottom League Two side.

Kilby, who last won the title in 2019, only needed a point to clinch the title but had to work hard to beat the Wee Gers who failed to score a late penalty after keeper Lyle Avci saved the spot-kick four minutes from time.

Kennedy said: "Getting the league trophy was the challenge at the beginning of the season and we've done that.

"We wanted to get into the play-offs which we've done. We've just got to get ready for what comes in the next few weeks.

"I want to thank everyone connected with Kilby on helping the club win the championship. I'm blessed to have been surrounded by so many great people.

"It's along time since we won the championship and I'm delighted for the players and the club and everyone connected with it.
