KKR-Led Consortium to Acquire Minority Stake in Vietnamese Real Estate Development Vinhomes.

A consortium led by a US global investment firm KKR has completed the acquisition of Vietnamese real estate developer Vinhomes Joint Stock Company (JSC) (HOSE: VHM) for VND 15.1tn (USD 650m), the company said.

The investment by the consortium, which includes Temasek, translates into approximately a 6% equity stake in Vinhomes. Following the transaction, Vingroup Joint Stock Company will continue to be the controlling shareholder of Vinhomes. KKR is making the investment primarily from its Asian Fund III.

The investment from the KKR-led consortium underscores the attractiveness of Vietnam as a regional investment destination with its strong development and growth prospects.
