Former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has been unveiled as Burnley's new manager. The Clarets had sacked long-standing boss Sean Dyche in April, with Mike Jackson taking interim charge but proving unable to rescue them from relegation

Kompany became playermanager of Anderlecht in 2019 before stepping back into a playeronly role and then taking the managerial hotseat the following summer. He led the club to fourth and third in his native Belgium over the past two seasons.
