LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dear Editor,A
HOUDA
Y HELPING DISABLED PEOPLE
It
would beappreciated if you could publish thisletter aswe do require a lot
of help.
"This could be a new idea for you but if you are strong and have a little
time on your hands, why not visit one of our holiday centres for severely
physically disabled people in Nottinghamshire, Surrey or Essex and stay for
a week or a fortnight from now until December.
The Winged Fellowship Trust offers free board and lodging to anyone
over the age of 18 (we are already fully booked for 16 to 17 year olds) who
would help the permanent staff give our guests the best holiday they could
possibly hope for.
Help is needed in many ways, with dressing, feeding, pushing the
wheelchairs - but above all to provide that tender loving care so much
needed bythose for whom lifeis just that bit more difficult than it isfor you.
It
is good fun with the Winged Fellowship Trust - lots of people, lots
going on, and hard work - but at the end of the day you will feel it was well
worthwhile.
All are welcome but men are particularly needed - please come, the
quality of a disabled person's holiday depends on you."
