Liam's double knockdown win video goes viral

And now a video of the fight between Huddersfield's Liam Hodgson and Nottingham-born Andy Goy has gone viral with over a million views worldwide

Footage of the fight at Manchester's Bowlers Exhibition Centre on May 14 includes a rare 'double knockdown' with both men hitting the floor after taking big blows to the face. But Liam was able to quickly get up and won by a convincing knockout.

Up-and-coming bare knuckle boxer Liam, 24, is delighted that a video of his first-round knockout of Goy had gone viral. One of the reasons for its popularity is the 'double knockdown'.

Liam managed to jump back up but says Goy was out for quite some time.

Liam, who works as a door supervisor in West Yorkshire and is a former rugby league player with amateur side Siddal in Halifax, has been working hard in recent months to get in shape for bare knuckle fighting.

He has been training hard and lost six stone. He boxes in the cruiserweight category and stands at 5ft 6ins tall and weighs around 90kgs (14 stone approximately). The run-up to the fight involved a 12-week training camp at Left Jab boxing in Huddersfield town centre. It involved fitness, boxing...
