Victory in the Grade One two-miler will clinch the British trainers' title for Mullins, who would become the first Irish-based handler to land the prize since Vincent O'Brien in 1954

El Fabiolo suffered his first defeat over fences when pulled up on the back of a howling error at the fifth fence of Cheltenham's Queen Mother Champion Chase, for which he went off the 2-9 favourite.

But Mullins is confident the seven-year-old, who sports the 'double green' silks of Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, will keep his jumping clean in a much-vaunted clash with the Nicky Henderson-saddled Jonbon for the bet365-sponsored test.

"He's in good shape," said Mullins (right). "He jumped four fences this morning - we just gave him a pop - and I'm very happy with that."
