The Lotteries (Variation of Monetary Limits) Order 1985

In pursuance of sections 18(1)(b) and 24(2) of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976(a), I hereby make the following Order:—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Lotteries (Variation of Monetary Limits) Order 1985 and shall come into operation on 1st May 1985.

(2) This Order shall not extend to Scotland.

2. In the provisions of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976 specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order (which relate to the matters mentioned in column 2 of that Schedule), for the monetary limits specified in those provisions and set out in column 3 of that Schedule (which limits were substituted by the Lotteries (Variation of Monetary Limits) Order 1981(b)) there shall be substituted the monetary limits specified in column 4 of that Schedule.

3. In the Schedule to the Lotteries (Variation of Monetary Limits) Order 1981, the entries relating to paragraphs (a) and (b) of section 10(1) and subsections (7) and (9) of section 11 of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976 shall cease to have effect.
