M and G Acquires ResponsAbility Investments in Switzerland.

UK-based international savings and investments business M and G plc (OTC: MGPUF) has completed the acquisition of Swiss-based responsAbility Investments AG, a specialist in impact investing, focused on private debt and private equity across emerging markets, the company said.

ResponsAbility Investments AG had approximately USD 3.7bn in assets under management (as at 31 December 2021).

M and G has reached agreement to acquire 100% of the issued share capital of responsAbility.

The acquisition, which has secured regulatory approval, enhances M and G's capabilities in impact investing.

It also expands and strengthens M and G's international footprint, adding an investment hub in Zurich, and offices in new markets, enhancing M and G's existing asset origination capabilities.

As part of the M and G plc group, responsAbility continues to serve its clients and portfolio companies across more than 70 emerging markets under a leadership of chief executive officer Rochus Mommartz, supported by his team of approximately 200 employees.
