-ESW CAPITAL ACQUIRES CUSTOMER SUPPORT SOFTWARE FIRM KAYAKO

US-based customer support software provider Kayako has been acquired by US-based private equity firm ESW Capital, the company said. Kayako said the move provides further investment in creating a unified support experience centred around an integrated chat platform.

The modern buyer expects immediate responses across any channel they decide to communicate to the businesses they engage. Businesses are finding it difficult to ensure a consistent, unified approach to customer service that spans chat, social, email and phone.

-DOJ APPROVES CENTURYLINK SALE OF FORMER LEVEL 3 METRO NETWORK ASSETS IN BOISE AREA TO SYRINGA NETWORK

The US Department of Justice has approved Boise, US-based fiber-optic network provider Syringa Networks' acquisition of certain CenturyLink, Inc. (former Level 3) metro network assets in the Boise, Idaho, area, the company said. This sale is subject to other governmental approvals, including the Federal Communications Commission, along with other customary closing conditions.

Last fall, CenturyLink closed the USD 34bn acquisition of Level 3. Just prior, CenturyLink entered into an agreement with the Department of Justice to divest former Level 3 metro fibre network assets in the metro areas of Albuquerque, N.M.; Boise, Idaho; and Tucson, Ariz., in connection with CenturyLink's acquisition of Level 3 Communications, Inc.

-BCG PENSION RISK CONSULTANTS ACQUIRES PENSION ADVISORY FIRM PENBRIDGE

Massachusetts, US-based pension consulting firm BCG Pension Risk Consultants, Inc. has acquired Connecticut, US-based pension information and advisory services firm Penbridge Advisors, LLC, the company said.

As a division of BCG, Penbridge has been renamed BCG Penbridge and will continue to offer proprietary data, business intelligence and advisory services to defined benefit plan sponsors, helping them to meet their plan sponsor and plan fiduciary objectives.

-ARGO GROUP ACQUIRES ARISCOM TO EXPAND PRESENCE IN EUROPE

Bermuda-based international insurance underwriter Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. (NASDAQ: AGII) has acquired Italy based specialty insurer Ariscom to expand presence in Europe, the company said

Argo said Ariscom provides an established platform that Argo can use to expand in continental Europe. Italy is one of Europe's largest and best-performing P and C insurance markets, and Argo is eager to tap into Ariscom's existing broker and client network throughout Italy, with longer-term opportunities to develop capabilities across Europe particularly in Spain and Portugal.

-CAPSTREET ACQUIRES AMERICAN PACKING/GASKET TO ACCELERATE GROWTH IN MRO PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION

Texas, US-based private equity firm CapStreet Group, LLC, in partnership with management, has acquired the business of Texas-based MRO products distributor and manufacturer American Packing and Gasket, LLC (APG) to accelerate growth initiatives, the company said.

CapStreet said APG is well positioned for growth, and CapStreet has a history of success in building industrial distribution businesses over the firm's history. APG is the fifth investment for CapStreet IV, LP, which has USD 340m of committed capital and focusses on industrial distribution and manufacturing and diversified business service companies.

-ST GEORGE LOGISTICS EXPANDS FIRST, FINAL MILE DELIVERY SERVICES WITH ACQUISITION OF FREIGHT FORCE

Chicago, US-based 3PL and transportation services company St. George Logistics (STG), has acquired California, US-based independent carrier network Freight Force to expand in first and final mile delivery services, the company said.

STG said Freight Force enables STG to offer a first and final mile solution to its base of customers and will help them compete in this sectors of the logistics industry. Freight Force complements STG's existing suite of national value-added warehousing, fulfillment, distribution and transportation services.

-DUFF/PHELPS ACQUIRES KROLL TO EXPAND CORPORATE INVESTIGATIONS SERVICES IN EUROPE/LATIN AMERICA

New York, US-based global valuation and corporate finance advisor Duff and Phelps has agreed to acquire New York-based corporate investigations and governance services firm Kroll to expand Duff and Phelps' global scale, most notably in Europe and Latin America, the company said.

Duff and Phelps will acquire Kroll from New York-based risk and information services firm Corporate Risk Holdings. The transaction enhances the combined firm's suite of services in the areas of valuation, corporate finance, compliance, investigations, security and cyber solutions. The combined organisation will have nearly 3,500 employees located in 28 countries around the world.

-BULLHORN ACQUIRES RECRUITMENT SOFTWARE FIRMS TALENT ROVER, JOBSCIENCE TO ADVANCE SALESFORCE SOLUTIONS

Boston, US-based cloud computing company Bullhorn has acquired recruitment software providers Talent Rover, based in Chicago, US, and Jobscience, based in San Francisco, US, to accelerate delivery of its Salesforce offering, the company said.
