Mayor left 'disappointed' as pay talks break down

The strike action that is preventing services from operating across the region has been ongoing since June 6, with United the Union saying that Arriva drivers were protesting against the "pitiful" offer of a 4.1 per cent pay increase during the cost of living crisis

Arriva Yorkshire has said that it has offered the majority of workers in Yorkshire a pay rise of between 7 per cent and 12.5 per cent, which would see most drivers earn over £13 an hour.
