Motus, the definitive provider of reimbursement and management solutions for businesses with mobile-enabled workforces, has announced that it has acquired mobile expense management firm Vision Wireless, LLC, the company said.

The acquisition further bolsters the company's groundbreaking suite of solutions addressing organizations' mobile management and reimbursement needs, including Motus Device and Motus Remote Work Reimbursement.

In 2019, Motus introduced a radical new approach to mobile device reimbursement, applying its Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) methodology, previously leveraged for vehicle reimbursement, to mobile assets. Since then, the rapid shift to remote work has amplified the need for management and reimbursement solutions addressing mobile devices as a mixed business and personal-use asset.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to 54% of the US workforce working at home full-time, and the vast majority of companies are allowing at least some remote work going forward. This trend is driving significant increases in wireless usage -- mobile data, voice and hotspot usage have increased 20-40% over pre-pandemic levels, underscoring the importance of mobile devices as a key tool for remote work enablement.
