The National Health Service (Constitution of Health Boards) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2003

Coming into force 1st April 2003
The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(1) of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the National Health Service (Constitution of Health Boards) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2003 and shall come into force on 1st April 2003.

2.—(1) The National Health Service (Constitution of Health Boards) (Scotland) Order 1974is amended as follows.
(2) Omit article 5.
(3) For the Schedule, substitute the Schedule set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

(This Note is not part of the Order)
This Order deletes article 5 of the National Health Service (Constitution of Health Boards) (Scotland) Order 1974 (“the 1974 Order”) which provided that each health board shall consist of a chairman and such numbers of other members, not more than a maximum number.
As a consequence of the deletion of article 5, the Schedule to the 1974 Order is replaced.
