National Health Service (Vocational Training) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1983

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 21 and 22 of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978(a) and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I hereby make the following regulations—

Citation and commencement

1. These regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Vocational Training) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1983 and shall come into operation on 2nd August 1983.

Amendment to regulations

2. In regulation 5(5)(a)(i) of the National Health Service (Vocational Training) (Scotland) Regulations 1980(b) for the words "26th May 1982" there shall be substituted the words "28th June 1983".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This Note is not part of the Regulations.)

These regulations further amend the definition of "educationally approved post" in regulation 5(5)(a)(i) of the National Health Service (Vocational Training) (Scotland) Regulations 1980 ("the 1980 Regulations").

In terms of that Regulation as amended such a post is defined as being a post in a hospital or with a Health Board in Scotland employment in which was, immediately before the day specified in the regulation namely 26th May 1982, approved by the Postgraduate Medical Education...
