NICHOLLS: I think the whole club needs to come together now

Huddersfield host Millwall and, speaking at the pre-match press conference, Nicholls, who has tasted relegation before with MK Dons, said: "I think there is a lot that you need to factor in to what has happened this year

"We are in this sort of predicament now that we need to get ourselves out of and we have got six games left to do that.

"I think the whole club needs to come together now. We have got six cup finals and whether you are a fan, a member of staff, a player, we all need to pull together and work together instead of fighting against each other and coming up with excuses and reasons why.

"The difference between the time we stayed up and the time I got relegated, we were maybe just not together as a team and a club.

"And if you look back from last year the group was together and everyone was pushing in the same direction. It is something that we really need to do for the last five or six games.

"From Saturday up until the rest of the season, the mentality of the squad has got to be huge.

Lee "There's members of staff here who have supported us since they were a young boy and we know how much it means to them and hopefully we can get there for people because I know how much it means for the fans and we are going to need them the final six games.

"They are going to play a massive part, especially in the home games.

"It is about us taking it one game at a time but knowing what is at stake and what we have got to do."

Nicholls conceded a wonderstrike from Stoke's Ki-Jana Hoever on Easter Monday but he still thought it was a good point all in all.
