• that weaknesses in current anti-robbery building design techniques

be tested,

evaluation
and
adjustment
be
effected as necessary;
that individuals
and
organizations
be
educated
in
robbery
prevention methods
generally, including the use of alternative methods of cash carrying, the use of
professional services,

the use of electronic devices.

the authors being S I Miller, Chief Commissioner of Police, and K L Milte, Senior Lecturer,
Department of Criminology.

Association of Police Surgeons and Police Medical Officers
The
inaugural
meeting
of an Association of Police Surgeons/Police Medical Officers
and
other Doctors associated with Police Medical
work
was
held
in Melbourne on 13
August 1978. At this
meeting
an Association of Police Surgeons was formed. A
constitution is
being
drawn
up
and
further meetings will
be
held on future occasions.
The
objectives of this Association will be to maintain contact
and
exchanges of opinions
and
ideas on all matters pertaining to medical
practice
in association
with
Police Departments.
It will also
be
the intention of the Association to
provide
asource of
advice
on medical
matters for the Police Commissioners in Australia
and
New
Zealand.
