Nutritionist reveals one item you should never have on your cooked breakfast

However, if you're looking to add a little health consciousness to your tasty breakfast, there are alterations you can make without compromising too much on that big breakfast satisfaction.

In an exclusive chat with Express.co.uk, Daniel Herman, a nutritionist and founder of Bio-Synergy has shared his professional advice about one item you should be careful with in your traditional English morning meal.

"Breakfast is definitely my favourite meal, and a full English is a real treat, however it does have some drawbacks.", reports the Express.

Mr Herman explained. He pointed specifically to fried bread, recommending we swap it out for healthier options.

"Probably the best item to leave off the menu/plate is the fried bread," he stated.

"Fried bread is made by frying sliced bread in butter until it becomes crispy and golden brown. While it may be delicious, fried bread is highly unhealthy for several reasons."

He revealed a multitude of health risks linked to consuming fried bread which include high caloric content, saturated fat and a limited amount of essential nutrients leading to increased risk of cardiovascular diseases.
