Officers appeal to find victim of street assault

On Sunday, June 5, the victim - said to be between 30 and 40 years old - was attacked outside Premier Cars in Silver Street, Halifax

A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The victim was left with serious injuries, but West Yorkshire Police are now trying to trace him to speak to him.

The force said: "Police are trying to trace the victim of an assault outside a taxi rank in Halifax earlier this month.

"The offence occurred between 5.30am and 6am on Sunday, June 5, outside Premier Cars on Silver Street, Halifax.

The victim appeared to suffer facial injuries but left the scene before police arrived.
