Pentair Closes USD 1.6bn Acquisition of US Commercial Ice Machine Maker Manitowoc Ice.

Ireland-based, US water treatment solutions company Pentair plc (NYSE: PNR) has closed the acquisition of US-based commercial ice maker provider Manitowoc Ice for USD 1.6bn, the company said.
When adjusted for approximately USD 220m of expected tax benefits, the net transaction value is approximately USD 1.38bn.
Manitowoc Ice, a portfolio brand of Welbilt, Inc. (NYSE: WBT), is a designer, manufacturer, and distributor of commercial ice machines in the United States and globally.
With a global installed base of approximately 1m units and more than 200 models of commercial ice machines worldwide, Manitowoc Ice has excelled at delivering differentiated product innovation, food safety and sustainability in icemaking.
