Ben Ramsey raced on to a ball in behind the visitors defence before beating Nathan Harker with a neat lofted effort.

The former Morpeth Town winger doubled his tally and the hosts' lead just before the interval producing a similar finish after beating the advancing Harker once again.

However, the Anchors hit back in fine style when former Consett striker Michael Sweet halved the deficit with 20 minutes left and that allowed captain Adam Nicholson to head home the equaliser and claim a point for his side.

Anchors manager Dunwell praised his side's reaction to going into half-time two goals behind and admitted they 'gave everything' to claim a battling point.

He told The Chronicle: "I thought we were good in the firsthalf but we've got to learn about not giving the ball away when we go forward - especially against Consett, who are quick on the counter and that's how they set up.

"There were some half chances but we gave the ball away twice and got punished for it.

"We had a chat at half-time...
