Plans unveiled for seven-story block of flats near canal

An application to construct the 133-apartment building on a vacant car park at Premier House on Charterhall Drive has been submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council by PL City Place Ltd

If approved, the building will provide 57 one-bedroom flats and 76 two-bedroom flats. There would also be a 92-space car park with 10 electric vehicle charging points and bicycle storage with 134 spaces.

A statement submitted with the application reads: "In summary, the development will comprise a seven-storey building comprising 133 one and two-bedroom units, landscaping, an area of car parking and access from Charterhall Drive.

"The proposed development would incorporate a range of energy efficient sustainable features such as photovoltaic solar panels in order to generate a substantial percentage of the buildings energy requirements, electric vehicle charging points and cycle storage for all apartments.
